Managing data for financial reporting

From the Manage Data tab of the Financial Reporting page, you can manage data for accounts, departments, General Ledger (GL) adjustments, tax rates, and Year to Date (YTD) earnings settings to be used in generating and processing financial reports.

The following table describes the tasks you can perform in each sub-tab.

Tab Tasks
Managing Accounts Stores the records for each account in the General Ledger (GL) of your organization.
Managing Departments Stores records for each department within an organization.
GL Adjustments Make temporary adjustments to GL data for reporting purposes.
Tax Rates Modify tax rates for each company for which the tax equivalency adjustment process will run.
Maintain YTD Earning Settings

Processes as part of loading the GL reporting table by:

  • Calculating retained earning using data in the GLTrialBalance table, and saves retained earnings to the target GL reporting table as an addition to equity.

  • Alerts Axiom system administrators to specific conditions.

Accessing data management

To access this tab:

  1. From the Command Center home page, click the Financial Reporting link. Or, click the arrow to expand the Financial Reporting section and then click Manage Data.

  2. On the Financial Reporting page, click Manage Data, if it is not already selected.
